This project began when I decided to paint a fairie on a piece of one inch pine because my granddaughter, Athena, was fascinated with fairies. I thought, "This looks like a door," and that led to creating a doorframe. Then I thought, "This door needs to lead somewhere," and three months later we had the Fairy Cottage complete with furniture, fireplace, paintings on the walls, a removable roof and wall and a hinged front door.
