Betty Piddington Gallery

Here is a selection of works from the artistic career of my Mom, Betty.

Betty Piddington is a graduate of the Ontario College of Arts, now the Ontario College of Arts and Design University. In 1940, after graduation, she was invited by Michael () to come to New York City as part of the Student Artists Guild to draw the positions of New York's premier ballet dancers as they prepared to perform Sleeping Beauty at Carnegie Hall.

The Sketchbook

Betty's days in New York City are uniquely recorded in her personal sketchbook. Her great gift for line and form dance on every page in this most precious book.

The Weeklies

On Fridays Betty made her way, rain or shine to Sibyls studio where she was provided a bright bouquet in her special spot where perfect light fell across her weekly subject.

The Paintings

Here I share a few of her unframed paintings and will include some of her works now gracing my walls as I am able to have them remated and reframed.
